About Atomic Tessellator

In the last year, our team of four has built a near-comprehensive platform to simulate almost everything there is to know about a material. We've completed pilot projects across aerospace, defence, nuclear fusion, and advanced polymers, we're the first to scale MLIPs across GPUs, and we're in the process of patenting our first rare-earth magnet substitute.

About the role

We're looking for an experienced business development lead to drive strategic partnerships and business opportunities for Atomic Tessellator.

You'll be closely working with Alain (Founder) and Daniel (COO) to:

  • Build a deep understanding of our key target sectors and their pain points.
  • Help develop and iterate our business model, and aid our efforts in go-to-market.
  • Obsess over the question "what are our customers' most important business problems, and how are materials relevant".
  • Facilitate conversations with government and enterprise customers - often in-person events (expect some travelling)
  • Communicate technical (but relatively surface-level) concepts to partners and customers.
  • Build out relationships and networks across computational materials science, frontier engineering enterprises, and the public sector.

What we look for

At a baseline we look for the following:

  • Authenticity: you say what you think and do what you say
  • Intelligence: you can't satisfy your curiosity
  • Drive: you have short-term urgency but long-term patience
  • Taste: you see and appreciate what others can't see

Things that are specific to this role;

  • Experience in taking a deep tech product from zero to one
  • Personable and professional
  • Basic understanding of physics or materials science. We'll teach the rest
  • Big plus if you can bring your existing network and relationships
